Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology: Student Accessibility Services (SAS)

SAS provides assistive technology support to students. Their Assistive Technologist will help students to explore a range of solutions available to assist with accessing information, studying, and completing academic work. Types of supports may include training on software and hardware, and adapting technology to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Referral to the Assistive Technologist can be made by the student’s Program Coordinator.

For questions about assistive technologies, please contact sas@mcmaster.ca.

Assistive Technology: Library Accessibility Services (LAS)

The study/consultation room (L213/G) in Mills Library Learning Commons can be booked for use by students with disabilities for access to assistive technology in the library. Students also have access to a lab called the Campus Accessible Tech Space (CATS).

The library has various Assistive technologies and adaptive software in these rooms and some in the library computers in general.
