Accessibility and Disability Inclusion Strategic Framework and Action Plan

To accelerate progress and set strategic direction on accessibility and disability inclusion at McMaster, the Equity and Inclusion Office will develop a comprehensive Accessibility and Disability Inclusion Strategic Framework and Action Plan. This new Plan will outline both strategic priorities and incorporate practical operational goals and planned deliverables. The Plan will include the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, which is a compliance requirement under the AODA. McMaster’s current Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (2012 to 2025) will expire at the end of December 2025.

Advisory Group

To ensure a new Plan is effectively developed, a (sub) working group of the McMaster Accessibility Advisory Council will be developed as the Accessibility and Disability Inclusion Strategic Plan Advisory Group. This Advisory Group will support the review and development of the next iteration of University’s Accessibility and Disability Inclusion Strategic Framework and Action Plan. The Working Group will include representatives from the McMaster Accessibility Advisory Council (or their respective delegates), and include staff, student, and faculty representation. This group will also include persons with disabilities to ensure they are consulted, and their perspectives are included.
